Ernest Roca (Barcelona, 1981) is a self-taught designer working with metal, who playfully merges conceptual thinking with a love for the material itself. His work distinguishes itself in craftsmanship, purity and sensibility and often features an element of surprise.
Crafted by hand, each piece he makes is unique. Not afraid for the imperfect, his objects are often said to contain a soul – a feature at times enhanced by sourcing and reuse of recycled materials. Work can be commissioned and made-to-measure.
